Let’s just accept that these posts won’t always fall on a Tuesday. Things come up, or worse — no pictures have been taken. Today I don’t have photos of the studio itself, as I have indeed covered the desk in paperwork and random bits of books in progress. Next time I’ll show you those, but […]

Studio Tuesday — snowed in
“Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one; stronger than magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration.” — Charles Dickens Thanks to my friend Suze for that perfect quote. Two days late! I was sure this had published yesterday, but I’m having trouble with the site so […]
Studio Tuesday — the end of life in the UK
Today begins with some good advice for this Gemini from Rob Brezsny: “In Bill Moyers’ DVD The Language of Life, poet Naomi Shihab Nye is shown giving advice to aspiring young poets. Studio Tuesday — a day late
“All that is best in the great poets of all countries is not what is national in them, but what is universal.” — Henry Wadsworth Longfellow “Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it.” — Buddha “There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler […]

Studio Tuesday

There was no Studio Tuesday last week, but I didn’t expect there to be what with the general chaos the holidays bring. We usually celebrate Christmas even though we aren’t Christians. I like the idea of a winter […]
Studio Tuesday
Today has been a very slow day. I’ve spent most of it giving the next issue of Scheherezade’s Bequest and the companion non-fiction articles of Cabinet des Fées a final check. Tomorrow I’ll finish the editorial and on Thursday, barring disaster, it will go live. Here in the studio, I’ve been continuing the cleaning/packing spree. […]
